Ella's Pink Scrapbook Challenge #26

I'm back today with a Scrapbook page for Ella's Pink Scrapbook Challenge #26 who have a theme of 'Childhood'. I've been trying to do less card making and more scrapbooking lately but all thats happened is that I've done less of everything! When I saw Ella's theme I decided I really should pull my finger out and get something done. I thought this photo of my girls on our recent holiday to the New Forest fitted the challenge perfectly and there was only one choice for the papers - my favourite Basic Grey collection, Archaic. It's one of the few collection packs that I've nearly used up which is strange since I've got girls!

Have a great weekend.

I'm Back!

After rather a longer absence than I anticipated I am at last back with a challenge card and a few other cards I made last weekend while my hubby was away and I had more time to play. I apologise for the naff photography!

My first card is for 3 challenges;
1. Friday Sketchers #122 - Sketch
2. Crafty Catz #52- Child Birthday plus Sparkle
3. Die Cut Dreams #67 - Teady Bear Birthday

And these are 'just because' cards I did at the weekend.

I also managed to do a Christmas card for each of my girls using some stickers and papers I bought last year from QVC and never used!

I also did a few scrapbook pages which I will share with you another day.

Apologies!

Just a quickie to say sorry for not posting for a while. Basically I've not made anything of note for ages (anything I've started recently turns into bin fodder!) so have nothing to show you and also I have only just got my laptop to link up to the internet properly without lots of turning on/off and a fair bit of bad language.

I'm going down to the New Forest in a few days with DH and the girls and I hope to get lots of fab photos so when I get back I can do some scrapbooking and have a little rest from card making, which will hopefully kick-start my creative mojo.

Enjoy the rest of your week, and I'll see you after my jollies!

I managed to make two cards yesterday for several challenges but run out of time and energy to get them blogged so luckily my router is working this morning!

The first card is for Stamp Something - Digital, Friday Sketchers #111 - Sketch and Mo's Digital Challenge # 40 - Masculine. I've used a Mo's Digital Pencil image coloured with PMs, paper is K&Co, card is WRMK and Bazzill, sentiment is Papermaniaand finished with a few gems.

The second card is for Colour Create #49 - Warm Pinks, Chocolate and White and Pink Elephant Challenge #76 - Brown. For this one I've used an image from Meljen Designs, as always coloured with PMs. Paper is SEIand card is WRMK and gems are Anitas.

The sun is back out today so I'm off for a potter in the garden! enjoy the rest of the day.  xxx Carol

New Challenge Blog & DT call

Sorry for my lack of posts these last few days but I'm having connection problems. Just changed to a 'better' (ha ha) package and guess what, its not better! It took me about an hour to get on line last night, turning the router on and off and restarting the laptop many times so when I did get on all I did was check my emails then went to bed! Only took about ten minutes this morning so a little better but I think I'll leave the laptop on so I don't have to go throught it all again tonight.

Anyway back to the main reason for my post, I've found a new Challenge blog - The Photo Synthesis Challenge - they've got some fab candy up for grabs for spreading the word and also a DT call.

Enjoy the rest of the day and I might see you later if I manage to get anything created.

Todays card is for two challenges, Passion For Promarkers #59 - Give us a laugh, I was going to give this weeks challenge a miss as I didn't really have any suitable image but as luck would have it I bought the latest Docrafts mag and this great stamp was the freebie and I knew it was ideal, and Color Throwdown #100 - Colour Combo.

The designer paper is from BoBunny and card is WRMK.

Sketch Saturday #109

I've been enjoying he gorgeous weather this last week so crafting and blogging have taken a bit of a back seat but I felt the need to be creative this evening and made this card for Sketch Saturday #109. I've kept to my favourite style - clean and simple - and used up some paper scraps (Doodlebug?) and some recently purchased stamps from Inkadinkado. I finished it off with gems, buttons and ribbon.

Pink Birthday

Is anyone else sick of the football already? I don't like it at the best of times but those trumpet things that are constantly going make me feel like I'm trapped in a bee hive! Its at times like this that I wish I had a craft room rather than just the dining table which is in close proximity to the TV.

In a bid to try and escape I made this card for the following challenges;

Flower Girls

Hi there, I apologise for being away from blog land for a while but Mr Mojo seemed to take a little holiday and then last week one of my cats had a fight with my car, and lost! so I as you may imagine I was quite upset and very busy nursing the injured party. Anyway last night I felt the need to create something so decided to scrapbook a lovely photo I took of my girls last weekend (getting them to both smile at the same time is always a challenge) and I was really please with the end result...

... then today when I was doing a bit of bog hopping I noticed it would be eligible for Sir Stampalots June Challenge which is 'Punch It'.

Patterned paper is October Afternoon, card is WRMK, looped border is a Martha Stewart 'Round the Page' punch, flowers, leaves and title cut with Sizzix dies and jewels are Papermania.

Just a quick card tonight for There's Magic in the Air, who have a theme of 'Clean and Simple' and to use the supplied digi image.

I printed the image over two digital papers and cut out the flower heads and butterfly and raised them with sticky pads. I added stickles to the flower centres and finished with ribbon and sentiment.

Something Special

Good afternoon folks, hope you're all having a good weekend. We're having a quiet day at home today, mainly because hubby is watching the Grand Prix is on TV but also because I'm feeling lazy. Just put a piece of lamb in the oven so looking forward to that. In between lounging and starting the food I made this card and I'm entering it into the folowing challenges;

1. Colour Create #44 - Khaki, Aqua, Brown and Cream
2. Sketch Saturday #102
3. Saturday Challenge #82 - 3 embellishments, 2 papers and 1 image

Skattykats #13 - How aMOOzing!

This weeks challenge over at Skattykats is How aMOOzing! which I must admit really had me stumped. Apparently a 'moo' is a miniature piece of art (28mm x 70mm) a bit like an ATC.

For my card I made 3 moos by spritzing a piece of white card with Cosmic Shimmer Mist in Golden Fish and Golden Mint and then overstamping with butterfly stamps (sorry don't know brand). I mounted them on green paper and added some ribbon before adhering to the card. I added a peel off border and sentiment to finish.

I'm A Craftwork Cards Finalist

WOW! Just done a bit of blog hopping and I've discovered that that I'm one of the 5 finalists in the Craftwork Cards Card Candy Challenge. Now all I need is lots of folks to vote for my colour combo, Harvest Spice, and I could win an absolutely fab prize! Pop over to the Craftwork Cards blog to cast your vote (please, lol).

Thursday Update! I'm currently running in 4th but 5th place is slowly catching me up. I'm way behind the other 3 so I doubt I'll win but any help to keep me off the bottom would be much appreciated ;-)

Home again!

I'm back from my hols, two weeks in a not so sunny Gran Canaria! To be fair we did have some nice weather but for 4 days it rained heavily and the wind was so bad it uprooted a few trees! We did our best to have a nice time though and consoled ourselves with the fact it was still warmer than in the UK plus we didn't have to go to work.
I did miss my crafting though and I can't wait to get back into it once we've had our carpet fitted tomorrow and I can at last unearth all my craft stuff from the conservatory. I'm also very excited to be given my first DT post over at Skattykats and looking forward to sharing my creations with you soon. I believe Kat is looking for one more DT member so if you fancy giving it a go pop on over to her blog.
