This is my first ever participation in Whats on your Workdesk Wednesday. I've noticed quite a few other bloggers at it but as my workdesk is actually my dining table there tends to be very little to see, but I thought I'd share this little collection of yummy goodies that arrived on my doormat yesterday from Sew Sweet a new online shop selling felt, fabric and haberdashery. Although the photo doesn't do them justice the ribbons are all gorgeous pinks, greens, chocolates and crisp white. The little bag is full of zingy orange and yellow buttons which were a little freebie (thank you). Pins are a new thing for me and I'm a little unsure how to use them on my cards so if anyones got any tips?

Pollycraft Freebie
This gorgeous little bird is one of two new freebies available now at Pollycraft and having found him I just couldn't wait to colour him in and get creating! I'm entering the card into Pollycrafts latest challenge - Ribbons and Flowers and they also have a DT call (you can enter by using one of the free images) which I'm tempted to enter - what do you think? Should I/Shouldn't I? - may have to sleep on it!
Aside from the Pollycraft digi stamp, coloured with PMs obviously, the DP is once again a magazine freebie (I found loads of great papers when I was sorting through my magazines the other day), the lilac card is Bazzill I think and ribbons etc from stash, plus a bit of machine stitching (I must practise going round circles!)Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Edited to add - I've been very brave and entered the Pollycraft DT call, wish me luck!

One for the men
Two cards in two days I am on a roll! Todays card was a request from my hubby for him to send to a friend who's into fishing and it fits perfectly with these challenges; I Love Promarkers #69 - Sketch, Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #138 - Male Card, Stamp Something - Something Punched and Fussy and Fancy - Card for a Man or Boy. The paper is from Juunkitz, the stamp from Stamps Happen coloured with Promarkers and border punch is Martha Stuart. Image is cut with a Nesti and the sentiment is from Craftwork cards.
I hope you are all having a good weekend so far, been a bit of a strange day here with beautiful blue sky followed by buckets of rain. Hopefully it will be a better day tomorrow and we can get some sorting out done in the garden, we've been redoing our fish pond and it is taking forever - I think it was about September when we started it and there are still trenches across the lawn - but fingers crossed it will be finished in the next week or so.

Long time no see!
Hello there bet you'd thought I'd gone for good? Well I never went away really, I've been keeping up to date with everyones blogs and I've even made quite a few cards and one or two scrap pages but I've just never got round to posting on my blog - sometimes there is just not enough hours in the day! But now I'm back with a mid year resolution to be a better blogger - *** the housework!!!
For my first card I've used a digi stamp and digi greeting which are both freebies from Doodle Pantry, coloured with Promarkers. The DP is an old magazine freebie and the brown card is from Papermania. The leaves are cut with a Sizzix die and the image is cut with a Nestie. Flowers and gems from stash.
I've entered this card in the following challenges, Passion for Promarkers # 103 - Blue/Brown, Digital Tuesday #114 - In The Garden/Outdoors, Cupcake Craft Challenges #145 - Things with Tails.
Well I hope you all have a 'Tweet' day and I'll be back soon, I hope to post at least once a week from now on (I thought trying for every day may be pushing it, but every week is a lot better than every 6 months!)

Ella's Pink Scrapbook Challenge #26
I'm back today with a Scrapbook page for Ella's Pink Scrapbook Challenge #26 who have a theme of 'Childhood'. I've been trying to do less card making and more scrapbooking lately but all thats happened is that I've done less of everything! When I saw Ella's theme I decided I really should pull my finger out and get something done. I thought this photo of my girls on our recent holiday to the New Forest fitted the challenge perfectly and there was only one choice for the papers - my favourite Basic Grey collection, Archaic. It's one of the few collection packs that I've nearly used up which is strange since I've got girls!
Have a great weekend.

I'm Back!
After rather a longer absence than I anticipated I am at last back with a challenge card and a few other cards I made last weekend while my hubby was away and I had more time to play. I apologise for the naff photography!
My first card is for 3 challenges;
1. Friday Sketchers #122 - Sketch
2. Crafty Catz #52- Child Birthday plus Sparkle
3. Die Cut Dreams #67 - Teady Bear Birthday
And these are 'just because' cards I did at the weekend.
I also managed to do a Christmas card for each of my girls using some stickers and papers I bought last year from QVC and never used!

Apologies!
Just a quickie to say sorry for not posting for a while. Basically I've not made anything of note for ages (anything I've started recently turns into bin fodder!) so have nothing to show you and also I have only just got my laptop to link up to the internet properly without lots of turning on/off and a fair bit of bad language.
I'm going down to the New Forest in a few days with DH and the girls and I hope to get lots of fab photos so when I get back I can do some scrapbooking and have a little rest from card making, which will hopefully kick-start my creative mojo.
Enjoy the rest of your week, and I'll see you after my jollies!
